Retired NBA Star Dwyane Wade Sells Miami Beach Home for $22 Million

Retired NBA star Dwyane Wade has sold his Miami Beach estate for $22 million, nearly two years after putting it on the market for $32.5 million.

Mr. Wade bought the property in 2010 for $10.645 million and renovated it, The Wall Street Journal reported. The roughly 12,000-square-foot property, located on tony North Bay Road, a strip popular with business titans and celebrities, comes with a wine room, a game room, a swimming pool, a home theater and an outdoor basketball court.

Mr. Wade listed the property just a few months after playing his final game in 2019 for the Miami Heat, the team for which he played for the majority of his career. At that time, he and his wife, actress Gabrielle Union, had recently purchased a house in Los Angeles. The price was reduced several times since then; the most recent asking price was $26.5 million.

Brett Harris of Douglas Elliman represented both the buyer and seller. He confirmed the deal had closed but declined to comment further.

Mr. Wade and Ms. Union married in 2014 and share a daughter, Kaavia. The couple has since purchased a $17.9 million estate in the Hidden Hills area of Los Angeles, records show. A spokesperson for the couple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Mr. Wade is also an owner of the Utah Jazz, having purchased a minority stake in the team earlier this year.
